The #1 Rule
Give Proper Credit
Giving proper credit to people for their contributions to your music is one essential element that we take seriously here at The Instrumental HQ.
We're forming a legitimate record industry "for us" and that means that we have to hold ourselves accountable. IHQ's artist profile pages make it easy for fellow musicians to find all the info needed to properly credit collaborators as well as make & receive payments for works rendered between parties.
"There's a lot more to be said, but for right now, just take a moment to think of how revolutionizing this WILL BE..."
When, Where & How
To Credit Properly
During registration with your performance rights organization, you'll be asked for the IPI (BMI) or CAE (ASCAP). You can always find this info on your collaborator's profile page.
Since we all share distributors, simply make sure the agreed upon splits are accurately entered while registering music on the platforms prior to release. After that... "Time 2 Get Paid" haha!
(Lol, don't worry, you'll catch that joke later).
